Hoi An Tailor and Custom Shoes
I recently had a suit, women's dress, and custom leather boots made in Hoi An. This is the most famous town in Vietnam for custom clothing. Suit: 4.5 million ($175 USD) - Blazer, pants, shirt Dress: 3 million ($120 USD) - custom design and material Ba Ri Tailor - https://maps.app.goo.gl/72fkUS999tqn2Sek6 Dress boots: 2.9 million ($115 USD) I Love Fashion https://maps.app.goo.gl/zQUMnx6rW1bBp8aC6 The shoes I though were a bit expensive, but overall very happy with the service and quality of everything. I'll attach the full video in case you haven't seen it.⬇️

You happen to know of any place that makes custom hiking shoes?

@Travis Carrasquillo thanks a lot for checking with them man. I really appreciate it. I’ll definitely go give it a try and see.

New Folks in Da Nang
There's a handful of people that have recently arrived in Da Nang. I'm curious if anyone could share how you've been settling in? What has been the most interesting thing that's happened so far? What has been the most difficult adjustment to make? How have you been handling the rainy weather?

I’ve been settling in relatively well. I’m staying at the new apartment way more than I planned due to the rain and general difficulties related to getting around and the language barrier when I do things. The most interesting things to happen usually involve being flagged down by a random local when I’m walking through a suburb. This usually leads to a few hours of great conversation. Great people. The language barrier is impossible to be honest. I haven’t been able to order food without pointing at the menu multiple times. Not that I know what to order in the first place. Also, getting an apartment is easy, but settling into that apartment is difficult with many challenges you don’t really expect until you’re here. Everything else is expected though.

@Travis Carrasquillo Maybe I’ll force myself to take Vietnamese lessons then, because I was also hoping I’d pick it up as I go and am realizing it doesn’t work like other languages. Coincidentally, I feel like I know less Vietnamese now than before I arrived. Thank you for mentioning that though, because I really need to break this cycle of just order burgers and pizza as well. Any recommendations on where to take lessons?
Drivers licence, international licence?
What's the rules around licence while driving a motorbike? Seems international driver's permit is not accepted in vietnam

Electric motorbikes are legal without a license (according to the shop I rented from). 50cc motorbikes as well I believe although I haven’t tried or asked. I’m renting an electric motorbike and have had no issues getting around Da Nang in terms of speed or distance. Some motorbike shops have multiple locations where you can swap out your bike for a fully-charged one as well. Mine goes up to 50 km/hr or so. My apartment parking has charging, so I’d double check that there is charging available where you’re at if you drive a lot and don’t want to constantly swap scooters.
Electric Guitars
Anyone know where I can buy a nice electric guitar here in Da Nang? None of mine could make the trip unfortunately.
