@Luke Sams I'm not in Hawaii. I have friends who are. I am looking at the fact that these came from Miracle Grow. I think people need to be careful what they use in their landscaping and gardens. For example, there are farmers who got free fill dirt, now they're testing high in micro plastics. Miracle Grow is a brand a lot of people trust. I want people to be careful. I am the type that used to just dump bags of whatever soil or filler I had bought. This report has me looking at why we might not want to just do that. Hawaii isn't the only place that has issues with invasive species. I live in Oregon where we fight the pine beetle.

Introduce Yourself! Where are you from? What are you passionate about? What are your goals within this community?
Hi All! My name is Mary (she/her), and I live in Arlington, WA on a beautiful 20 acre farm, Pragtree Farm. I have been co-stewarding this land with three of my friends for a couple of years now and am honored to be a part of this intentional community. This farm has a rich history of many hands contributing to caring for this space in a way that helps to regenerate the earth. Tending to the land is truly one of my passions. I am excited to connect with you all and be a part of this collective, where we can share what we are working on and what we are learning and get feedback from others on how to best take care of the land (and each other). I am a landscape/farm designer who is passionate about regenerative farming practices. I love bringing designs to life by embracing my artsy side, but really, it is my goal to help others and put my all into this "work." I want to continue learning how I can help land owners, fellow stewards, enthusiasts, and daydreamers explore the tools it takes to create a sanctuary that fully embodies permaculture ethics and is soothing to the soul. We are in this together and can't wait to meet you! P.s. Say hi to your dog for me.

@Scott G The home of Anne of Green Gables! One of my favorite book series. I've always wanted to visit Prince Edward Island. Love the pictures. 🤗 My husband and I looked at 10 acres and almost bought it. It was landlocked and I don't know if I want to bite off that much right now. It is down the road to where we will be living though, so if it's not purchased by the time we have our small area set up, we can purchase it. I'm so glad to know that this land is in such loving hands. I live in Oregon where fire has damaged trees too. I know how important it is for me here when someone that is going to do the land justice is able to buy it. It always breaks my heart when land developers buy it and put up McMansions.

Happily married. I don't post pictures of myself. I'm here to learn about supporting local farmers, ranchers, dairy. NOT HERE TO FIND A DATE!
