The operating expenses seem to be steep, but the investment strategy is interesting! Me personally, I try to stay away from options trading, however, I love the idea of using US Treasuries for collateral. I asked ChatGPT for a summary based on their long description and this is what it came up with: YieldMaxโ„ข COIN Option Income Strategy ETF - Summary Investment Objective: The Fund aims to generate current income with a secondary goal of gaining exposure to Coinbase Global, Inc. ("COIN") shares, while limiting potential investment gains. Fees and Expenses: - Management Fee: 0.99% - Other Expenses: 0.02% - Total Annual Fund Operating Expenses: 1.01% Expense Example: Investing $10,000 would cost: - $103 for 1 year - $322 for 3 years Portfolio Turnover: The Fund's portfolio turnover rate was 9% from August 14, 2023, to October 31, 2023. Principal Investment Strategies: The Fund uses a synthetic covered call strategy to achieve indirect exposure to COIN and generate income, employing a combination of call and put options. Key elements include: 1. Synthetic Long Exposure: Achieved by buying COIN call options and selling COIN put options. 2. Covered Call Writing: Selling COIN call options to generate income, which may cap potential gains. 3. U.S. Treasuries: Held as collateral and income-generating instruments. Monthly Distributions: Income is generated from option premiums and interest from U.S. Treasuries, aiming for monthly cash distributions. Performance vs. COIN: The Fundโ€™s performance will differ from COINโ€™s stock price due to the options strategy and U.S. Treasury holdings. Principal Holdings: - Purchased call options - Sold put options - Sold (short) call options - U.S. Treasury securities The Fund maintains at least 100% indirect investment exposure to COIN through these instruments and is classified as non-diversified under the 1940 Act. There are no guarantees of successful strategy implementation, and investors may lose some or all of their investment.

Hey @Joshua Lassiter , good to have you here!
Today was a good day
Good Monday today, hope we keep it in the green hopefully by October VOO will be back to 480 early but I may sound redundant but buying in the dip was the decision I have made as an early investor in the market.

I'm looking at adding Vanguard FTSE 100 to my pick. The idea is to slowly build monthly income off my portfolio, rather than just watch the value go up and down.

@Daniel Ocasio They are solid, and fund has been growing steadily over the years. Deffo worth consideration
Declassifying Marijuana ๐Ÿƒ $MSOS
In a historic shift, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is set to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, according to sources from The Associated Press. This move, initiated by the U.S. Justice Department, recommends that marijuana be downgraded from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3, effectively reducing its status as a serious criminal offense. This change aligns with a growing recognition of the economic potential of regulated marijuana sales, which are projected to surpass $112.4 billion in 2024, marking a significant increase from the previous year. The ripple effects of this decision could reshape American drug policy for generations to come. $MSOS ETF jumped nearly 25% right after the news but has since fallen 10% Is this an opportunity for long term investing or too early to tell? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Seeing front row what marijuana can do and hearing countless stories I sure hope not. But then again anything is possible in USA. Interesting to see MSOS graph. What caused stagnation last few years?

@Justin Graiber yes, makes sense. As much as I try to shut emotions and use facts when it comes to investment decisions, this is the one I'm deffo staying away. Plenty of other alternatives that have much better roi.
