Hi all, was wondering if it was better to put your property under an LLC or applying for homestead for personal liability protection. Like if you get sued or something, no one can take your house as collateral. But- with homestead, you also get the tax advantage right? Like you pay less taxes because it will have the government see the property at a lesser assessed value, and only tax you on that. Isn't there also like another advantage of not having taxes significantly increased or something like that? And with homestead, your home is still protected under personal liability. Thank you! Would love to know what the best course of action is on this.
