Hello, I'm Al. I don't have my own podcast at the moment, although my step into podcasting from commercial and BBC radio was with a series called "How To Be A Dad" from The Dadsnet. Now I mainly produce other people's. My biggest podcasting challenge (aside from consistent work) is the engineering aspect. I came from radio where compression and plosives were all taken care of in the ether, courtesy of a big room filled with computers and wires. Going from never having to really know about it to manually having to sort it was a massive learning curve in the early days, and now something I feel I am always learning about. Here, I am hoping to find like-minded people, some answers to questions (usually EQ-related or such), and even being able to offer some own thoughts about presenting or producing. It's good to be here.
