Strange bone marrow edema
Female 40 y.o. without any trauma, have some sport activity 3-4 times per week. She got severe pain syndrome through the night (10 VAS), took NSAID - it has helped (VAS 3-4), but then pain returned back. She has pain by palpation lateral side of the tibia. What does this edema look like? I realy don't know... Full pic

agree- likely stress reponse edema. No fracture. The other differential i may put is early osteonecorsis - can present sometimes like this- A follow up MR in 8-12 weeks with off-loading the knee may help here. If stress response it will resolve.
