Closing Down Skool
gm FireBrains! I hope you have all enjoyed hanging here, learning some stuff about AI and automation over the last 4+ months. It's been awesome sharing this crazy AI journey with you all. Unfortunately I am making the decision to discontinue the Skool community for the foreseeable future. The reasons for this decision are twofold: 1. I just accepted a full time offer in the AI field and will have less time to maintain the community. 2. It costs me a $100 a month to host this community which is unsustainable. I am open to continuing the community on a free platform which we can all continue to learn together. I have included a poll below. I am personally partial to discord because I use it all the time but I am open to any other platform people prefer (please comment below.) Thanks for hanging here and being part of this cool place for the last few months. Please make sure you download any resources from the classroom that you want to keep as those will be inaccessible after I close down. Thanks! Joe ps. No coffee call today.

Congrats on your new gig! And thanks for all you've been doing hosting this forum. I haven't been able to participate like I've wanted, but I gleened some useful info here and there over the past few months. I really appreciate the value you bring and care and passion with which you bring it!
NEW - CLAUDE VISION IN YOUR BROWSER 👀
gm Firebrains! Very useful automation for you! Take vision everywhere with Claude vision in your browser. Create this awesome browser extension that will follow you around the internet. Ask it anything. See it solve this equation for me in just a simple ask. Pretty wild. Instructions and resources in the classroom! Groovy! Gonna have to give this a whirl.
YOU'RE MISSING OUT
I just want to say that I've been to most of the workshops and am always surprised that there aren't more of you in there. It's great for me as I get more time with Joe, but if you are one of those who don't make it to the workshops, then you're seriously missing out. I believe it's one of the most valuable parts of this community. Please don't waste that and get left behind! Check the calendar 🔥🧠

Ugs, I know, I know. I wish I could make these, but my IRL is off-the-charts swamped! I wish I could clone myself (or build a chatbot that could do all my other menial tasks so I could attend more often)!

@Chris Underwood I've watched a few that he's published on YouTube. Awesome stuff!

I love the analogy comparing trying to understand LLM decisions to that of a teenager's decision. I presume the LLM developers must have some inkling of why the identical prompt can produce variable outputs? Must be some stochasticity built in to the computation of dot product from weights of all input tokens to all training set tokens?
👀 Look what I got early access to!
Will be doing a comparison to perplexity tomorrow!

Been leaning in to Perplexity a lot lately. It's access to literature and internet content is a huge strength over chatGPT. So, it will be exciting to see how the chatGPT+Internet search goes toe-to-toe with Perplexity!

@Joe ORourke Still looking forward to it. I'm collaborating with a UCLA Physics professor who has been using Perplexity pro to synthesize specific research topics, asking tons of follow up questions, and then using the results to have it write and publish blog-style reviews of the topics. Some of them take 20 minutes to from start to finish!
