Example of what we learned
As you can see from the ETFs I've invested in my virtual portfolio, I am currently losing money which would shock and discourage a beginner investor. That's why we've learned to not constantly check our portfolio in order to avoid situations like this where the market is temporarily going down

Perfect learnings! Someone's definitely paying attention to the lessons! Always remember the graph I showed in the very first video of investing even right before huge negative events like the burst of the DotCom bubble or the Global financial crisis. It's always been a gain in the long-term!
Inability to deposit funds
Did anyone else here receive this message from eToro? I received it on August 15th and sent the documents on the same day. Since then they're still checking the information and it's kind of frustrating that I have to wait this long to deposit more funds in my account

That is really odd! Have you tried the support chat in Etoro directly? It's in the "Help & resources" section. And ask them to report back ASAP. Might help speed things up.

@John Papadopoulos Very odd.... :( Unfortunately other than annoying support again, there's not really anything else one can do other than wait :( Alternatively if you don't really want to wait you can try Saxo Bank or Interactive Brokers (IBKR) as they're also brokers where you have a very wide range of investment access. Of course the platform itself will be a little different than what I show with Etoro but you can still apply the same learnings and methods to whichever investment platform really! I just picked Etoro as the first platform I did these tutorials with because I had a really solid experience with them so far. But thanks for letting me know of this type of problem! Brings more support to the idea of me creating videos with alternative broker softwares.
Issue with Etoro demo investing
Hi. I have an issue. I was going through the 2nd module, the demo investment. When I tried to press trade for the SPX500 I got the message below. I wonder if it's because of the questions Etoro aksed at the begining and I didn't qualify or something. Even so, I followed the steps from the 1st module. What can I do in this situation? Did anyone else had this problem? Thank you.

What I learned: Why to invest: protect yourself from inflation, build up wealth by time securely When to invest: the sooner the better, don't wait Index funds: owning parts of diffrent companies Questions I have regarding this module: A question for the romanians who did the etoro verification and happen to have a bank account at BCR. Etoro informed me that my bank statement isn't valid and cannot be accepted because my adress doesn't show up in there and I need a way to prove my adress either with a bank statement or utility bill (the thing is that I don't pay the bills myself so I can't really use it). Someone else had the same issue (but not with etoro verification, a diffrent site) and reached out to BCR and were told they can't modify it and they just don't add the adress (or don't want to, who knows). What to do/what did you do? Should I still try and go at BCR and talk with them myself? Thank you! Attached are my milestones 1 & 2. Lets go πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Hey Adela! Great progress so far! It would probably be best you try to speak to BCR yourself. Or have a look at the other acceptable forms of verification documents. I think during the quiz when they ask you for a bank statement or a utility bill, they have a "View More" clickable link where it shows you other potential things they can accept. Hope you find something that you can get a hold of!!πŸ˜‡

What I learned: I learnt how to navigate inside eToro and how to place a trade. I bought SPX500, SWDA.L, MSFT and my smart portfolio was SPY5.L (Diversified - 8.13%) Questions I have regarding this module: When looking at the Smart Portfolios I clicked on WarrenBuffet-CF and was notified that copying his trades is high risk. Why would copying someone like Warren Buffet be regarded as high risk, or is that just copy trading is regarded as a high risk activity in general? Attached is my milestone 3. Lets go πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Great question! So, any copytrading whatsoever they would have to inform you it's "high-risk" as it's not you that's the one taking the investment decisions for that amount of money anymore, but rather someone else. It's a legal requirement of course to inform an individual of the risk of their investing decisions being outsourced and enacted by someone else.
