To make sure our new hire shares our values and vision, I focus on their fit with our company culture during interviews. I look for their past experiences and how they handle challenges. Leila Hormozi says that checking their leadership style and problem-solving skills is key. I also use my network to find candidates who match our goals. This helps create a team that works well together. Hormozi emphasizes a clear onboarding process too. This makes sure new hires understand our mission right away. Engaging them from the start leads to better growth for the company.

@Michelle O'Loughlin For recruiting and hiring, YES! For customer acquisition, sometimes that can be delayed until later in the onboarding, depending on if you are a mission-based company or not. In other words, customers need to hear what's in it for them first and then hear about your mission to reenforces their decision to buy. But for hiring, it needs to be on every job posting. Putting the company’s values and mission front and center from the start is one of the best ways to attract the right talent. When candidates see a company’s values upfront, it helps them self-select—if they align with those values, they’re more likely to apply and thrive. This saves time by filtering out those who wouldn’t be a good cultural fit.

Your character is a key driver of your success in business. Leila Hormozi explains that when you focus on being a trustworthy and principled person, it attracts others to work with you. She believes that success isn’t just about making money, but about who you become in the process. Staying true to your values helps build strong relationships and creates a better work environment. Money might come as a result, but character should always come first. Think about how your values shape your actions and the people you draw into your life.

Disagreeing without arguing means using facts to support your opinions. Leila and Alex show us that the key to good feedback is focusing on data, not emotions. When they disagree, they share specific information to help each other understand different views. They both want the same outcome and remind each other of their shared goals. To improve your conversations, try to back up your points with clear data and keep respect at the center. This way, feedback becomes a tool for growth, not a source of conflict.
💪 How can being skilled help you achieve your goals?

Being skilled is the key to reaching your goals. In the video, Alex Hormozi highlights how men who are in shape and know how to make money consistently outperform those who lack these skills. This shows that the ability to develop different skills—like how to manage your health and finances—opens up more opportunities for success. Skills build confidence and discipline. They prepare you to tackle challenges head-on. If you focus on improving your abilities, you’ll find that achieving your goals becomes easier. So, start learning and developing those key skills today!
