In this video, you will see the updates and highlights of the past 2 weeks. We've a big change related to the content inside of our community. And I also explain why things have been quieter than usual from my side. P.S. Hope to see you in tomorrow's Q&A... we will be talking about GitHub Actions!

📢 Things have been quieter than usual...
Introduction
Hi everyone👋, My name is Zandile. I live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I am junior cloud engineer and I am currently studying towards my SSA-CO3 certification. I plan on becoming an AWS DevOps Engineer by February 2025. I want to get these 3 things from the community: 1.  Learn more deeply about AWS. 2. Create projects to enhance my skillset 3. Meet amazing likeminded people. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Nap 2. Read 3. Do some adventures like quad biking and skydiving. Looking forward to meeting all of you!😁

Welcome @Zandile Tshabalala
Bootcamp Week 5 - Infrastructure Improvement?
Hi guys, I already talked to Anoop about a state regarding the Terraform project in week 5. As we initially launched the postgres locally on the ec2 instance, we used DMS to migrate it to RDS. We cannot really destroy everything as the data in RDS would be lost right? Furthermore, creating everything new after having it destroyed does not seem to work as we would need to apply some sql statements for database, table and user creation, etc. when the RDS instance is up and running. Nevertheless, I think using DMS was very insightful, it should still be possible to apply and destroy everything using terraform to keep costs low. So I thought maybe @Fernando Goncalves could implement this as a bonus assignment. I'll probably be working on this during the next days and keep you posted when I've solved it.

Great point, @Norbert Kerner! I was waiting to see who would be the first one to point this out. 😁 Indeed, at this point, we can't run Terraform destroy without having to migrate the database again. Curious to see which solution you will find. 😉

Week #02 Assignment : Managing Changes with GitHub
This is very straight forward and easy Steps to do one by one What I do: 1-Installation of git and Hugo to setup environment locally. 2-Made changes locally which are mentioned in README File. 3-Run Hugo Server to check changes 4-Push changes locally to remote repository in GitHub What I achieve: Hands on different Linux command using git Playing with different git commands like add, commit, push. Taking Taste of DevOps Tools one by one.
