8 Figure Business Wisdom
I am hanging out with my family watching a Net Flix series and figured I would share some wisdom. (Multitasking)
Back in 2005 we were in the food business. We were selling burritos to local businesses and had grown the business to around $250k per year.
We had been selling to the same customers every day for several years.
We decided (my wife and I) if we could have our burritos prepared and packaged in a USDA facility, we could sell them wholesale to a chain of convenience stores.
We accomplished the task of production and spent the next year aggressively attempting to get the retail chain to sell our burritos 🌯.
We were told they liked them and would sell them. We proceeded to get the run 🏃‍♀️ around for the next year. Always hearing we will start in a couple of months.
We finally stopped following up and decided we would continue to focus on our local business. Decided we didn't care.
A couple of months later a friend told the president of the company about our burritos 🌯. We made a connection with him and we were test marketing within 2 weeks.
When we decided we didn't care, the deal fell into our laps.
The moral of the story looking back is that you can't want and have in the same space.
Sometimes we want something so bad we get in the way.
We went on to sell around 1 million burritos 🌯 annually for over a decade. Well over 8 figures in gross sales.
Remember to step back and get out of your own way when you are hitting a road block.
