Today we are talking about real estate video editing offers and how you can profit from adding these to your service offerings.
Listing videos are a simple and powerful way to show off a property.
They are also a powerful way to build your brand as a photographer or real estate agent.
When you create a property video you can also promote it on social media.
You and your client's Facebook page can leverage dynamic content to promote the listing and look like a pro.
Plus with CloudPano, you can have videos and 360s be interactive and exchangeable throughout the property on the SAME tour link! It's powerful!
This means you can have your first scene be a video and the rest be 360!
This allows the user to “choose their adventure.” Plus if you are making offers you can bolt these onto your current service.
Video capturing is simple.
Record a video on your iPhone Pro, and let the stabilization take care of itself.
Then give 3 offers to your clients.
1 - A Full Property Video. Shows off the entire property. See some examples here.
2 - Walkthrough Video: Shows off the entire property but speeds up and slows down based on the property in the full vertical format.
3 - Offer reels as a package: Real estate agents love reels and they are exploding, so offer them as a part of your upsells! You can show off and share all of these easily.
How much should you charge?
You charge what the market will bare.
Every market is different. But you want to bundle bundle bundle.
This means if you offer everything together (and it costs you barely any more time because you are outsourcing editing to CloudPano) then you can typically find a good repeatable rate and test it based on your market.
For example 30 photos and video and a virtual tour can easily be bundled together into a listing package for $550. If you are a high-volume media team you can charge less and mind your margins.
My advice is to always ask questions and feel out margins and price based on your customer. If they only come to you 1 time per year, don’t let that sway your price…
But if you client has a ton of work coming, price accordingly and work out a deal that you both love!
Interview Pricing
One of my favorite methods (for price discovery) is to ask customers directly what they think and also tell them you are considering a new pricing bundle.
Share and ask for feedback. Its OK to ask!
The worst thing you can do is assume. Yes make an educated guess but feel free to ask “What did you pay last time so I can beat that price and help you out?”
I have done this before and literally heard $10K over what I was thinking in my head…
So you can leave money on the table if you dont ask enough questions…
Once you find a repeatable price, you can tell your team how to quote on location and keep it simple.
I hope this helps you scale and grow faster.
Remember, video is 1 more tool in your suite of tools. Use it!
See you there!
